About Me

Hello! Welcome to my website! My name is Josie Rios. I am a Virginia based actress available to work anywhere on the East Coast and willing to travel West! I have had a passion for acting since I was a child, always the first in line to audition for school productions, community theatre, and local films. Since college, I have gravitated more towards film acting and experienced my first professional works in web-series and commercials. Now with a good amount of experience under my belt, I am aiming to work on television series and feature films. My dream role would be the lead in a teen drama, along the lines of Riverdale or Pretty Little Liars! My love of acting was never something that was influenced or inspired, it has always been there and I am so excited and honored to able to live out my dreams professionally.

Just wrapped a wonderful 2 day set for an upcoming short film The Space We Fill directed by Bethany Pulsen! From the script, to the locations, to the PHENOMENAL crew - I've worked with many of them before so I knew it was going to be a great set - this film is bound to be a hit. The story explores the idea of fulfillment for three different women with a surprising twist at the end. Once out of post-production, this film will be entered into film festivals where it will be able to capture audiences nationwide. Stay tuned for the final cut in my videos!

Seeing an 8 am call on a call sheet for a set 2 hours away…dreadful. But it’s always refreshing when you finally get there and meet the rest of the talent and crew and you just know it’s gonna be a great set! I absolutely loved meeting everyone on this set, our photographer was super easy to work with and the other talent were so funny, the smiles and laughs were definitely natural. I can’t wait to see how the pictures turn out and hope I get to work with all those lovely people again soon!

Super happy to be back at Busch Gardens Williamsburg for their annual Howl-O-Scream event! This year I have been placed in a new maze, Nevermore. It's based on the stories and poems of Edgar Allan Poe and it is SPOOKY (we are definitely going to be the best maze this season haha)! My body and throat are already sore from scaring all night but I have loved being back at the park with a great cast and crew! Definitely come see us if you can now until the end of October!
